This article analyzes approaches to gender issues, on the basis of which sociolinguistic, psycholinguistic, linguistic and cultural stereotypes in this context do not determine the specifics of the term "gender", but indicate that gender differences are sociocultural reasons. In recent years, gender has come to linguistics in a different sense, when gender studies have acquired an interdisciplinary status. This allows us to speak about two possible approaches to the analysis of gender units: from a structural criterion for identifying gender-specific linguistic units and from a semantic point of view. Due to its understanding of gender as a socio-cultural category, the analysis of sex-separated units only makes it possible to better understand and reveal the characteristics of the concepts "male" / "female", which adequately reflect the models of the language of life. The orientation of the social behavior of men and women, as well as the transmission, transmission and transmission of cultural views and stereotypes by means of linguistic expression are passed down from generation to generation.
