The article is devoted to the analysis of the legal foundations and ways of improving the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the sphere of activity of civil society institutions. The current problems of regulating non-governmental non-profit organizations, issues of increasing the efficiency of public control, and strengthening social partnership are considered. Based on the results of the study, specific recommendations are proposed for modernizing the national legal system and creating favorable conditions for the development of the public sector.
