This article analyzes the essence and significance of international legal mechanisms for environmental protection in the context of global environmental challenges and climate change. The study examines the processes of implementing the norms of international conventions and agreements into national legislation, alongside current legal and institutional challenges. The successful experience of developed foreign nations regarding the integration of environmental laws is explored. Based on this analysis, scientific and practical proposals and recommendations are formulated to further improve the national legal system in line with international standards and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
