The article analyzes the temporal and aspectual properties of the German subordinating conjunctions bevor and ehe. It focuses on their role in expressing anteriority, forming the preterminal phase, and interacting with terminative, durative, and iterative aspectual situations. A contrastive analysis with equivalent constructions in Uzbek is also provided.
