The article is devoted to the disclosure of some aspects in the history ofdiplomatic relations in the Middle East in the 19th century. The issues of AngloRussian relations of the period under study, which attracted the greatest attentionand served as the subject of diplomatic negotiations, were studied. This is, first ofall, the struggle for large railway concessions. Iran is becoming an object ofgeopolitical and geo-economic confrontation and struggle between major colonialpowers.
