The purpose of the article is to examine the history of photojournalism inUzbekistan during the Second World War and the post-war years. The articleprovides a general overview of the activities of photojournalists in Uzbekistan,such as H.Devonov, G. Hidoyatov, D.Nazarov, M. Penson, A. Shaikhet, G.Zelma,and others.Special attention is also paid to the activities of the Dean of the Faculty ofHistory in 1967-1987. To Goge Abrarovich Hidoyatov of the Mirzo UlugbekNational University of Uzbekistan, who has been cooperating with the press since1959 and was accepted into the ranks of the Union of Journalists of the formerUSSR as a freelance correspondent. As a result, the role of photojournalists andmilitary officers in the formation and development of the media in Uzbekistan ishighlighted and characterized.
