This article presents a comparative analysis of color terms (coloronyms) in English and Uzbek, focusing on their lexical-semantic, metaphorical, ethnolinguistic, and linguocultural features. The study examines the conceptual role of color names in human cognition and their symbolic meanings within national cultures, folklore, and contemporary discourse. Comparative-semantic, cognitive, linguocultural, and corpus-based approaches are employed. The findings demonstrate that although basic color concepts are universal, their cultural interpretation varies significantly between English and Uzbek due to differing historical, cultural, and worldview factors.
