This paper investigates mechanisms of cross-linguistic interference that emerge when multilingual diplomatic professionals operate within Russian institutional contexts. Adopting a structural-functional perspective, the study introduces an original classification of interference types and presents a comparative analysis of interference levels using tables and diagrams. It identifies both internal and external factors that shape deviations in diplomatic communication—including bilingual proficiency, intercultural strategies, and the institutional norms of diplomatic discourse—and offers practical recommendations for reducing interference and improving communicative precision.
