This article analyzes the concept of “Motherland” as a central element of the Russian linguistic worldview. Drawing on literary, journalistic, and media texts, the study examines the principal metaphorical models through which attitudes to the Motherland are expressed and identifies the value components that shape national-patriotic consciousness. Special attention is given to the cognitive mechanisms involved in understanding and verbalizing patriotic feelings in Russian.
