Proverbs play a great important role in learning a foreign language at school, especially in the initial stages. Usage of proverbs allows the student to participate in the dialogue, get primary information about grammar, syntax, and phraseology. Knowledge of proverbs will allow students to correctly interpret the perceived listening to speech messages and adequately respond to them, express their own thoughts and feelings so as to be understood by the interlocutor, which ultimately determines the success of communication and the achievement of goals.
