Linguistics is divided into several sections, each of which studies a specific side of the language. Thus, the sound structure is studied in the phonetics section, the structure of words in morphology, the structure of sentences in syntax, and the vocabulary of a language in lexicology. As you can see, the names of the sections of language science often coincide with the names of the language levels they study.
