The article examines the financial and organizational mechanisms for implementing the principle of self-governance in the legal profession as one of the fundamental guarantees of the independence of the institution of advocacy. Based on an analysis of Article 141 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Advocacy,” the Law “On Guarantees of Advocacy and Social Protection of Advocates,” and other regulatory legal acts, the study considers the legal foundations for the formation and use of membership fees, issues of financial accountability, transparency in the activities of bodies of advocates’ self-governance, and the introduction of digital technologies into the system of governance of the legal profession. Particular attention is paid to the organizational and legal mechanisms for digitalizing the financial activities of the Chamber of Advocates, improving the system of internal financial control, enhancing the openness of the budget process, and ensuring the effective management of financial resources through modern information technologies. On the basis of a comparative legal analysis of national legislation and foreign experience, the study identifies existing problems in the legal regulation of the financial support of advocates’ self-governance and proposes scientifically substantiated recommendations aimed at improving organizational and legal governance mechanisms, strengthening the financial autonomy of the legal profession, and enhancing the accountability, transparency, and effectiveness of bodies of advocates’ self-governance in the context of digital transformation.
