Annotatsiya

This article presents a thorough theoretical analysis of the works of American writer Jack London. His well-known works, such as Martin Eden and White Fang, are examined through lexical-semantic, stylistic, and pragmatic approaches. The findings of the research suggest that London’s creative legacy embodies a synthesis of various literary paradigms, including realism, naturalism, existentialism, and social Darwinism. Special emphasis is placed on the multilayered semantic structure of linguistic units, stylistic techniques used in character portrayal, and pragmatic aspects reflected in dialogues and internal monologues. The analysis of translations reveals stylistic and semantic simplifications that can diminish the artistic power and authorial intent of the original texts. This article aims to broaden the scope of linguistic and literary research into Jack London’s works.
