Annotatsiya

This article explores the genre innovations and creative approaches in the works of Kate Chopin, a prominent figure in late 19th-century American literature. Particular attention is given to her feminist perspectives, psychological depth in character development, and aesthetic experimentation within the short story genre. Through the analysis of The Awakening, The Story of an Hour, and other key texts, themes such as female psychology, inner monologue, social roles, and the pursuit of freedom are critically examined. Kate Chopin's work is re-evaluated through the lens of modern literary criticism
