The article examines the scientific and methodological foundations of developing students’ language competencies through independent learning. Independent learning is an integral part of modern education, allowing students to enhance their knowledge autonomously. The study discusses methods for improving the effectiveness of independent learning, pedagogical conditions, and the role of innovative technologies. The paper also provides theoretical and practical recommendations for optimizing independent learning methodologies in the context of educational system development.
