This article analyzes the distinctive features of the interview genre and its various classifications from a linguistic perspective. The interview is examined as a communication process, and its different types are explained based on format, style, and purpose. The structural and functional aspects of the genre are explored, highlighting the speech characteristics of free, structured, combined, and stress interviews. Additionally, the article analyzes aspects of interviews related to conversational style and formal and informal communication forms. The study contributes to understanding the pragmatic, semantic, and stylistic criteria of the interview genre.
