This study discusses the issue of developing a translator’s linguocultural competence and examines the impact and significance of lexicographic units in this process. The intrinsic connection between language and culture is analyzed, highlighting the importance of understanding national and cultural characteristics for translators. Methods for developing linguocultural knowledge and skills, including ways to improve the translation process through theoretical foundations, are explored. Additionally, the functional capabilities of dictionaries are analyzed.
