Annotatsiya

The article examines the features of the interaction of the author's and narrative voices in N.V. Gogol's poem Dead Souls. It analyzes how Gogol hides himself behind the mask of the narrator, creating a complex system of authorial speech that combines lyricism, irony and satire. Particular attention is paid to the difference between the author's position and narrative strategy, as well as the influence of this duality on the reader's perception of the text. The study is based on the theoretical works of M.M. Bakhtin, Yu.M. Lotman and modern literary scholars who consider the problem of authorship and narrative structures. The identified features allow us to better understand Gogol's artistic intent and his experiment with the form of narration.
