This article examines the historical emergence of public speech within Oriental studies and highlights the scholars who have significantly contributed to its development. While the tradition of rhetoric primarily evolved in Greece and Rome, the art of oratory including the delivery of speeches and public speaking also began to develop in Eastern countries. In these regions, oratory has played a crucial role in public life, politics, and scientific discourse.
