Football adds rich cultural and linguistic elements to the vocabulary of many languages as one of the most popular sports in the world. As the homeland of modern football, the English language has influenced many terms in other languages, including the Uzbek language. At the same time, the Uzbek language has preserved its national characteristics in football terminology. This article compares the lexical and semantic features of football terminology in English and Uzbek languages. Through this analysis, a deeper understanding of cross-linguistic interaction and cultural adaptation is created.
