This paper describes the advantages of artificial intelligence in English lessons. The use of innovative technologies in teaching foreign languages, which include the use of elements of artificial intelligence, and which is of great scientific and practical interest, is one of the striking characteristics of modern linguodidactics. To assess the prospects for using these elements in pedagogical practice, it is necessary to study their implementation in the educational process, identify new pedagogical and information technology solutions, analyze their impact on the effectiveness of the formation of competencies provided for by educational standards of higher education, determine the advantages and disadvantages and try to minimize the latter.
