In the context of the rapid development of digital technologies and the digital transformation of the state, the study of the prospects for the introduction of artificial intelligence into legal activity and the functioning of the judicial system becomes particularly relevant. This article examines the concept of legal forecasting as a scientific tool for analyzing the future development of legal institutions. Particular attention is paid to the futurological approach in law, which allows predicting the further development of the judicial system based on the analysis of existing technological, economic, and social trends. The study analyzes the main methodological approaches of legal modeling, including statistical analysis, extrapolation of trends, scenario planning, and comparative legal research. The possibilities of applying artificial intelligence technologies in judicial activities are considered, including the analysis of legal information, automation of certain procedural actions, and preparation of draft judicial decisions. The article also examines the advantages and potential risks associated with the implementation of algorithmic systems in the field of justice, including issues of algorithm transparency, the difficulty of formalizing legal categories, and the necessity of preserving judicial discretion. It is concluded that the digitalization of the judicial system should be implemented gradually and must be accompanied by the development of appropriate legal regulation that ensures a balance between technological innovation and the fundamental principles of justice.
