This article analyzes the international legal responsibility of states, military commanders, operators, and developers for violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) committed through the use of autonomous weapon systems (AWS). It examines existing international legal norms governing such responsibility and the challenges of applying them in the context of rapid artificial-intelligence development. The paper presents analytical data demonstrating the scale of autonomous-technology implementation in the military sphere. The conclusion proposes mechanisms for improving legal regulation and for allocating responsibility within the IHL framework.
