The article substantiates the alignment of the "Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy - the main document that solidifies Uzbekistan's current development course - with UN documents on sustainable development. It presents the rationale for adopting this document while the Development Strategy for 2022-2026 was still in effect. Through analysis of this Strategy's provisions, its distinctive features are identified in contrast to previously adopted similar documents, whose main goals were aimed at building and strengthening New Uzbekistan. The primary characteristic of the goals for building New Uzbekistan has been clarified and understood, which consists of creating decent living conditions for people, aligning with the basic requirements of the sustainable development concept, and being defined for the first time as a priority over the interests of society and the state. It is asserted that some of the goals and objectives of this Strategy, serving as a kind of commitment by Uzbekistan, can be interpreted as a basis for specifying and expanding the scope of human rights contained in international documents. In this regard, conclusions are substantiated concerning the recognition of human rights to a long and quality life, a healthy childhood, adequate nutrition, and so on.
