Ushbu maqolaning maqsadi axborot nazariyasi va axborot nazariyasida entropiya tushunchasining mazmun-mohiyatini ochib berish, uning matematik asoslarini tahlil qilish hamda axborot miqdorini baholashdagi o‘rnini ko‘rsatishdan iborat. Maqolada Shennon entropiyasi modeli, ehtimollik taqsimotiga asoslangan hisoblash usullari va entropiyaning xabar noaniqligini o‘lchashdagi roli yoritiladi. Shuningdek, entropiyaning axborotni kodlash, siqish va uzatish jarayonlaridagi ahamiyati misollar orqali tushuntiriladi. Olingan natijalar entropiya axborot tizimlarining samaradorligini baholovchi muhim ko‘rsatkich ekanligini ko‘rsatadi.
