The article analyzes the historical and philosophical foundations of the emergence of Sufism as a significant phenomenon of Islamic culture. It examines the methodological aspects of its genesis, the influence of Islamic texts (Qur'an and Hadith), and its interaction with philosophical traditions, including Greco-Roman, Persian, and Indian. The methodology is based on historical-philosophical analysis and a comparative approach, enabling the identification of cultural influences on the development of Sufism. Particular attention is given to the concept of "unity of being," dhikr practices, and meditation, as well as their parallels with Indian and Zoroastrian teachings. The study highlights Sufism's role in spiritual life and its importance in shaping Islamic religious thought.
