Annotatsiya

This article explores the historical development of medicine in the Khorezm region from ancient times to the modern era of independence. It highlights medical concepts found in the "Avesta", the contribution of Islamic scholars during the Golden Age—such as Al-Khwarizmi, Al-Biruni, and Ibn Sina—as well as the scientific role of the Mamun Academy and the medical advancements during the Anushteginid and Khiva Khanate periods. The article also analyzes medical progress in the Soviet era and after Uzbekistan’s independence, including the establishment of specialized medical centers and the role of prominent scholars in the health system.
