Currently, one of the most pressing issues of international law is the emergence of new technologies used to carry out cyber attacks. This is important because it has been found that it can change the dynamics of an armed conflict. It was found that these attacks do not comply with the guiding principles of international humanitarian law (hereinafter referred to as IHL), as well as the principles of distinction, proportionality and precaution. Therefore, this article examines the problems that international humanitarian law faces when dealing with cyber tools.
