Official misconduct within Uzbekistan's law enforcement agencies poses a serious threat not only to law and order but also to public trust in state institutions. Given that law enforcement agencies are tasked with protecting the law and ensuring citizens' safety, instances of corruption and abuse by their employees are particularly damaging. Such cases negatively impact the functioning of the justice system and erode public confidence in government bodies. These crimes may include corruption, abuse of power, forgery of official documents, and other offenses. They undermine the foundations of law and order and the public's faith in the justice system.
