This article examines the lexical-semantic features of linguistic units used in judicial and investigative proceedings, as well as the role of Russian and international patterns in contemporary translation studies. Additionally, it provides scientific proposals and recommendations regarding terminology found in laws and legislative documents, linguistic challenges in lawmaking and judicial-investigative practice, and methods to address these issues. The article emphasizes the importance of maintaining consistency and stability in terminology, as well as the need to strengthen collaboration between legal professionals and linguists in simplifying and improving legal texts.
