This article analyzes the significant role of Bukhara in the formation anddevelopment of Islamic religion and culture. Historically, Bukhara has been recognized not onlyin Central Asia but also throughout the Muslim world as one of the major centers of science,religious education, and culture.The article examines the scientific and religious life of the city, including the scholarly heritage ofrenowned scholars, jurists (fuqaha), exegetes (mufassirs), and thinkers who lived and workedthere. It also discusses the educational system formed through Bukhara’s madrasas and scientificinstitutions, as well as their contribution to the development of Islamic exegesis, hadith studies,and fiqh.Furthermore, the article highlights Bukhara’s place in Islamic civilization and evaluates thehistorical and cultural significance of its heritage in the modern era.
