The article is devoted to comprehensive analysis of the reliability of digital evidence in criminal proceedings. It examines legal and technical aspects of ensuring the integrity and identity of digital data during their copying and use as evidence. Special attention is paid to the role of the specialist in the process of extracting and preserving electronic information. Various theoretical approaches to understanding reliability in criminal procedural law are analyzed, and the relevance of the problem is demonstrated. The article considers measures to improve legal regulation and technical methods for verifying digital evidence, aimed at increasing the efficiency of criminal proceedings and minimizing judicial mistakes.
