The article focuses on the repressions of Uyghurs during the Great Terror years in the Uzbek SSR, which were carried out as part of "national operations" sanctioned by the Politburo of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and implemented based on orders from the USSR NKVD. Along with Germans, Poles, Koreans, Latvians, Iranians, and representatives of other nationalities, Uyghurs also fell victim to the Bolsheviks' so-called "Chinese operation." For the first time, archival materials from case No. 7317 of the Uzbek SSR NKVD, known as the "Uyghur Case," are being introduced into academic discourse. The history of this case serves as factual evidence of the illegal methods employed in carrying out mass repressions during that tragic period of Soviet history. The article provides names, brief biographical information, and details about the rehabilitation of unjustly convicted Uyghurs in 1937-1938.
