The article analyzes the prospects for developing regulations on special economic knowledge in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The research examines the legal foundations for using special economic knowledge in criminal proceedings, focusing on the procedural status of specialists and the challenges related to their participation. The study analyzes key issues including the recognition of specialist opinions as evidence, specialist participation in pre-investigation stages, audit timeframes, and participants' rights in forensic examinations. The article provides specific proposals for improving criminal procedure legislation, particularly regarding amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code concerning written specialist opinions, their rights and obligations, and examination procedures. Research findings include recommendations for enhancing the effective use of special economic knowledge in investigating economic crimes and strengthening the procedural status of specialists and experts.
