Annotatsiya

This article examines the challenge of studying the language of written monuments from the late 16th to 17th centuries. The main linguistic difficulties that translators encounter are primarily related to the structural features of the Tibetan language, which belongs to the isolating (root) type. These difficulties include differences in the construction of simple and complex sentences, as well as variations in word order. For example, words in certain contexts may be positioned differently compared to other languages. For translators working from Mongolian (which belongs to agglutinative languages), particular challenges arise from the polysemy of Tibetan names and the peculiarities of Tibetan verb usage.
