This article provides a detailed analysis of the processes of collecting, verifying, and evaluating evidence as stipulated by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author emphasizes that proper organization of the evidence evaluation process impacts the legality, fairness, and validity of case resolution. The importance of a comprehensive evaluation of evidence in terms of its reliability, admissibility, and relevance is highlighted. The article examines the results of inspections, expert opinions, the consistency of evidence with one another, and their role in criminal proceedings. Errors made during the incorporation of inspection results and evidence into cases are identified, and solutions for their elimination are proposed. Decisions made based on inspection results, their compliance with procedural requirements, and the complexities encountered by investigative authorities during evaluation are also discussed. Particular attention is given to the role of specialists, the reliability, and the scientific validity of inspection results. The necessity of adhering to legal requirements in addressing inconsistencies in documents and inspection outcomes is substantiated.
