This article examines the evolution of international parliamentary institutions, with a particular focus on the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) as a platform for parliamentary diplomacy and the advancement of global democratic values. Special emphasis is placed on Uzbekistan's engagement and contributions to the IPU since rejoining the organization in 2017. The discussion highlights key areas of collaboration, including Uzbekistan's role in fostering international inter-parliamentary dialogue on peace, security, and sustainable development. Furthermore, the article evaluates the significance of the upcoming 150th IPU Assembly in Uzbekistan as a milestone in strengthening the country's inter-parliamentary relations and enhancing its international stature.
