This article examines the ethical issues associated with the organization of digital investigation. In particular, ways to improve the methodological support of investigative practice in this area are proposed. The experience of the United States, European countries, and the Republic of Uzbekistan in introducing ethical standards into digital investigative activities, as well as international approaches to this issue, are analyzed. The study emphasizes the importance of developing one's ethical principles for organizing a digital investigation and offers recommendations for adapting domestic practice to advanced foreign experience. The author believes that to protect personal information in the process of digital investigation, it is necessary, first of all, to determine the ethical principles of working with digital evidence. The article is based on scientific and practical research, as well as the opinions of theorists and practitioners in the field of digital investigation, with an analysis of domestic and foreign legislation.
