This article is devoted to the problems of semantic-psychological research of units that constitute one of the most important layers of the lexicon - phraseological units with a mythologeme component. In addition to the explanation of phraseological units with myth and mythologeme component, the author also provided information about their role in understanding human psychology. As a result of the research, a unique semantic-psychological classification of phraseological units with a mythological component was elaborated.
