This article presents an analysis of the influence of English literature on the world cultural scene, especially highlighting the contributions of British writers to the development of various literary genres. The focus is on classic works and their global recognition, as well as the unique feature of British literature that is expressed in the integration of the various cultural elements of the people living in Great Britain. Through the example of William Shakespeare, the most famous playwright, the influence of his work on European drama and literary traditions is explored. The study also draws attention to the multicultural aspect of British literature, where one author can embody and convey the influence of many cultures in his work, thereby contributing to a rich and varied literary heritage.
