This article examines the representation of toponymic words in dictionaries of the Uzbek language. Toponymy is a science that studies the names of geographical places and their origin; the reflection of this area in the dictionaries of the Uzbek language is analyzed. The article talks about the long-term preservation and stability of toponymic words in the language, as well as their expression in dictionaries. The works of scientists who played an important role in the development of Uzbek lexicography and the scientific study of toponymic words are analyzed. The history and linguistic features of toponymic dictionaries are also considered.
