This article examines translations of Uzbek stories and tales of the 20th century from a linguocultural point of view. The article analyzes the historical development of translation and translation processes, linguistic and cultural aspects of translation, as well as the difficulties that arise when translating Uzbek literary works into English, and provides examples of these difficulties. The importance of the translator's knowledge and experience, understanding the cultural context and preserving poetic expression in the translation process is emphasized. The article covers the fields of linguoculturology, linguistics and translation studies, demonstrating their interrelation.
