The article considers the issues of improving the quality indicators of fabrics for special clothing by using different fiber compositions. The study is aimed at analyzing the effect of fibers of natural, chemical and mixed origin on the physical and mechanical properties of fabrics, such as density, strength, wear resistance and air permeability. The article presents the results of experiments in which fabrics made of 100% polyester fibers, a mixture of polyester and cotton fibers, and 100% cotton fibers were studied. The analysis showed that fabrics made of 100% polyester fibers have better strength characteristics, but are inferior to mixed and natural fabrics in air permeability. The environmental aspects of recycling secondary material resources and their impact on textile production are also considered. The results of tests based on modern methods for assessing the physical and mechanical properties of textile materials are presented. The author emphasizes the importance of resource-saving technologies in the textile industry to improve competitiveness and meet market needs. The research results can be applied to optimize the development of fabrics used in the production of special clothing.
