This article examines the formation and development of civil aviation in the Bukhara People’s Soviet Republic (BPSR) between 1920 and 1924, based on historical sources. In particular, it highlights the BPSR government’s efforts to finance aviation, attract charitable contributions, and establish the necessary infrastructure. It also explores organizational measures undertaken to purchase Junkers aircraft, determine air routes, and construct airfields. Using archival documents and periodical press materials, the article analyzes the routes, technical capabilities, and economic significance of the earliest air services.
