Heart failure and type 2 diabetes represent two increasingly prevalent medical challenges in contemporary society. This review aims to explore the interplay between these conditions, with a focus on the involvement of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and the homeostatic model assessment (HOMA-IR) index in their development. Against the backdrop of current treatment trends, particularly with the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (iSGLT2) inhibitors, we also intend to examine the dynamics of these parameters during therapy.
