This article examines the role and distinctive features of pilgrimage sites in the development of national tourism. Pilgrimage sites inUzbekistan are analyzed as a key factor in stimulating both domestic and international tourism. The article explores effective mechanismsfor the further development of pilgrimage tourism and the results achieved to date. Drawing on existing research, it highlights thesignificance of these sites in people's lives. Furthermore, the article discusses the role of journalism—particularly television—in promotingpilgrimage sites and expanding their potential for the development of national tourism.
