The article analyzes theoretical, institutional and practical mechanisms for improving sociogerontological activities with lonely and olderpeople living alone in Uzbekistan from a sociological perspective. Lonely old age is interpreted not merely as a household or marital status,but as a multidimensional social phenomenon associated with shrinking social networks, transformation of social roles, subjectiveloneliness, social isolation, digital inequality and declining participation in community life.
