The article is devoted to the analysis of the role and importance of industry in theeconomy of Uzbekistan. It examines the contribution of industry to the country's gross domesticproduct (GDP), the growth dynamics of industrial production, the main sectors of industry andtheir development trends. It also examines the interrelationship of industry with other sectors ofthe economy, in particular, agriculture, services and transport. The article pays special attentionto the role of the human factor in increasing the export potential of industrial enterprises.
