The article examines the priority areas of state policy aimed at improving thesocial and institutional foundations of sustainable regional development. It analyzes the role oflocal self-government bodies, civil society institutions, and public–private partnershipmechanisms in ensuring balanced territorial development. The dynamics of social andinstitutional indicators across the regions of Uzbekistan are studied, key challenges are identified,and scientifically grounded policy recommendations are proposed.
