The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of pharmacopoeial requirements for the standardization of chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla L.) according to five pharmacopoeias: the State Pharmacopoeia of the Republic of Kazakhstan (SP RK), the State Pharmacopoeia of the Republic of Belarus (SP RB), the State Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation XIV edition (SP RF XIV), the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) and the British Pharmacopoeia (BP). The comparative analysis was carried out on the sections "Definition", "Identification" (macroscopy, microscopy, authenticity) and "Quantitative determination". It was established that SP RK is most similar to SP RB in structure and content, while Ph. Eur. and BP are identical to each other. SP RF XIV occupies an intermediate position, partially harmonized with European standards. The identified differences relate to the degree of detail of morphological descriptions, diagnostic features applied, sample preparation methodology and marker substances for identification. The obtained data can be used in the updating and harmonization of pharmacopoeial monographs on chamomile flowers.
